NEW YEAR POEM 2006

Amid the sound of fire-crackers, a year is over.

The lukewarm wind of Spring is blowing;

While we are drinking the Tusu wine.

In the morning while the sun is shining every household

Removes the old couplets and replace them with new ones

   A marble, in case someone says you've lost all of yours.
   A rubber band, to stretch yourself beyond your limits.
   A string, to tie things together when everything falls apart.
